E-learning Community Meeting in Zaporizhzhia

First traveling event in Zaporizhzhia with 4 presentations about blended learning, gamification, and self-learning

First Meeting in Zaporizhzhia

On March 30, 2018, an E-learning community meeting took place in Zaporizhzhia!

For our team, this was the first event in this beautiful city. Therefore, we decided to deviate from the usual meeting format and presented not 2, but 4 presentations!

Pleasant Surprise

The meeting started with a surprise for the Colorisoft team – the “Hlebodar” learning and development center presented a traditional Ukrainian bread (korovai) that all our company employees could taste.

Meeting Program

1. Learning Center Capabilities: Blended Learning and Format Selection

Speaker: Oksana Novatorska – Head of Hlebodar Learning and Development Center

Key Topics:

  • Ideal learning center
  • David Kolb’s Model for training experienced employees
  • Combining business owner’s desires with training department capabilities
  • Implementing LMS in-house
  • Engaging employees in learning

Interesting fact: Hlebodar employees complete training during non-working hours without discomfort because the process is organized with ease and care.

2. Hybrid Learning Forms and Gamification

Presentation Topics:

  • E-learning course development tool iSpring Suite
  • iSpring Cloud LMS
  • Engaging “difficult students” – top managers

Yevhen showed how to approach top managers who might say: “I know everything myself, who are you to teach me”.

Approach to Top Management:

  • Intangible learning benefits
  • Individual coaching
  • Specially selected learning programs
  • Micro-doses of information through various channels: online/offline, social networks, mailings

Bonus: Participants received access to a training course on feedback and management control.

3. How to Maximize Distance Learning?

Speaker: Olesia Lytvynenko – Head of Learning and Assessment Department at Watsons

By 2030, the need to learn will increase to 60 hours per week, as knowledge directly affects company performance and revenue.

5 Key Principles:

  1. Learn faster than competitors
  2. Learn internally and externally
  3. Learn faster than the external environment changes
  4. Learn to predict the future
  5. Learn to acknowledge mistakes

Olesia shared her experience in engaging personnel, selecting content, and implementing it.

4. Self-Learning Organization

Speaker: Stanislav Zagursky – Co-founder of Colorisoft

Two Corporate Learning Schemes:

  1. Classical scheme – all programs and materials fall on HR’s shoulders
  2. Alternative – employees themselves are the source of knowledge

Tools for Learning Organization:

  • Organizational support
  • Statistics
  • Process thinking
  • Technological support
